Staying Home Mom

Sometimes as mothers we get the chance to stay home with our children and it is such a blessing, but it can be very stressful. Being you are a staying home mom, if you’re like me sometimes you don’t get to socialize with other adults to much. There are some things you can do like; mother’s morning out, library’s that do kids story time, etc. The problem is, if you don’t get out and get to be around other adults from time to time you miss it and sometimes even get stressed out, then you will need to find more about products that will help you reduce your stress!

Having three children under 4 can be very trying at times because they all really still need me quite a bit. The thing that I need to balance is not losing myself and making time for myself. I know other mothers struggle with this so I want to help!

There are many things you can do to help you have some “ME” time. You need to try to schedule 30 min to an hour for something for you that you enjoy. If you’re like me it may not be the same time every day because the kids don’t nap at the same time or we have other things going on…but….I make sure I find it somehow. Don’t get me wrong there are some days I don’t get my me time, but it’s not very often. Even if you have to put a 30 minute show on or a movie, or have everyone take a nap you will figure out what works best for you. Sometimes you may have to wait for your husband or significant other to come home so they can take the kids for a while.

What are some things you can do for yourself? It could be as simple as taking a hot bath and reading a book, working out, giving yourself a mani or pedi, or even laying down for a nap! I highly recommend working out. Why, because this is one of the best stress reliefs and it’s so healthy. When you start doing it daily you don’t feel so blah and tired. You start gaining more energy and feeling like yourself again. So often we lose our bodies and ourselves after children, but that doesn’t have to be the case! In my future blogs I will talk about some workouts that may be great for you and anything else everyone requests such as planning meals, different recipes, etc. The staying home mome will be the staying fit mom!
